Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has dropped plans of leaving Stamford Bridge.
The London Evening Standard says Abramovich has abandoned plans to relocate Chelsea and will push forward with proposals to expand Stamford Bridge.
The club had originally claimed that it was impractical to expand their 41,837-capacity ground due to the high costs involved.
Chelsea explored moving to nearby Battersea Power Station and Earls Court both of which fell within a three-mile radius to build a new home.
But those options disappeared leaving owner Abramovich with little choice but to re-examine staying at the Bridge and raising capacity towards 55,000.
