Chelsea have hinted they're planning to bring back Frank Lampard.

The London Evening Standard says Chelsea have always wanted to bring back their all-time leading goalscorer in a coaching or ambassadorial role, although they haven't yet approached the 38-year-old over a possible job.

With Chelsea fans keen to know Lampard's next move, the club have suggested on social media the 38-year-old may be on his way back to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's official Instagram account left a comment on a fan page's photo of supporters "patiently waiting...the return" of Lampard with the words: "Hang in there!"
