Chelsea are planning a £12 million bid for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

The Mirror says Bendtner, 19, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham, is desperate for regular first team games. He has been upset at a lack of opportunities despite star ting the Gunners' last two European games.

Now Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen is believed to be behind a move to sign the Danish international.

Bendtner has been courted by AC Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea, and his father and agent Thomas last night refused to deny Chelsea's interest. "I have no comment to make," he said.
