The Mirror says Shevchenko's future is coming to a crunch as Chelsea are still paying him £130,000-a-week even though he has become a bit-part player.

Shevchenko wants to fight for his place, but has seen his career nosedive since a £30.9million move from AC Milan 18 months ago.

Dynamo Kiev tried to sign the Ukrainian on loan in the summer but he does not want to return to his old club and wants a permanent move if Chelsea decide to get rid of him. Shevchenko is attracted to a move to Major League Soccer in the US - his wife Kirsten is American - but Chelsea may try to sell the loan option as a way of improving his sharpness so he can still revive his Blues career.
