Chelsea not playing any differently, there is just no pressure now - Hoddle

Former England and Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle believes that Chelsea's improved form under Guus Hiddink is due to the fact they are playing with no pressure.

The Blues remain undefeated under Hiddink after they were held to a goalless draw by Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night.

Hoddle claims that the Blues would have lost this game under former manager Jose Mourinho but suggests there is not much different to the way they are playing under Dutchman Hiddink.

"With Chelsea there isn't a massive difference here," Hoddle said on BT Sport.

"Hiddink hasn't come in and suddenly we see them playing in a completely different way.

"The difference was, under Mourinho, they would have lost this game. They'd be losing them type of games.

"There's a feeling that they're going to get results and at the moment in the league they're not under immense pressure.

"If they are going for the league they'd have to really go for that and they would have been under pressure to get the best out of themselves.

"When they play against the better teams and the better clubs. [Against] Arsenal with 10 men because they got on the wrong side of the defender and got him sent off and they'd have probably scored.

"They were playing at a different tempo, a different level.

"I think they'll raise their game and the problem for them at the moment in the league is playing teams like Watford and teams down the bottom."
