Chelsea News: Poyet names legend as best he played with; Hazard hails teammates

Former Chelsea midfielder Gus Poyet has declared Gianfranco Zola the best player he played with.

Ruud Gullit, Didier Deschamps and George Weah were just some of the big names that Poyet lined up alongside.

But it was Zola who was the pick of the bunch.

Poyet told the Daily Star: “It's an easy question [who the best player I've played with is].

Gianfranco Zola, no doubt. He made me a better player on the pitch.

“I became the player I was because of him.

“Having him next to me, he made me the better player and I think that shows what I mean when he is the best player I played with."

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard hailed his teammates for their Champions League win at Qarabag.

"It is easy to play with these kind of players," said Hazard before beginning the lengthy journey back to London.

"We did everything well. The only thing was we conceded the first chance and if Qarabag scored, maybe it could have made it different, but we scored four goals and we did well. We should have scored more but we did not concede so that is good."
