Ramires is adamant that the Chelsea team needs to continue improving in order to add to last season's successes.
The Blues ended the campaign with the FA Cup and Champions League trophies despite a sixth-place finish in the Premier League and the Brazilian midfielder is well aware that things must improve at Stamford Bridge to keep the club rolling along.
Ramires, who won last season's Players Player of the Year award, also knows he can continue to work on his own game as well.
"I will try to repeat my performances of last season, or even better them if possible, but it's not just about me, it's important we improve as a team," he told the club's official website.
"It will be a long, hard season, and after everything we achieved last year expectations will understandably be high.
"It will be good to be back playing in England. We are looking forward to seeing our supporters and it will be nice to play as European champions.
"However, this is a new season, the Champions League is in the past and we need to focus on our new targets."
