Chelsea are ready to compete with Manchester United for AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman. The Daily Star says the Blues are preparing a bid to sign Strootman.
Strootman, 24, has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Rome in recent months, and it's believed the Dutchman has his eyes set on a move to the Premier League.
Several sources in Italy claim Strootman's preferred destination is Manchester United.
