Chelsea are rumoured to be interested in acquiring the services of 14-year-old Giuseppe Prestia.
The Blues have been tracking his progress for a while and have recently sent scouts to Italy to check on his development.
No move has been made as yet, but with Prestia reluctant to agree a deal with the Rosanero it looks likely that he will leave in the near future.
Any deal for the defender would represent the second time Chelsea have raided Italian top flight clubs for their young stars, having previously taken 15-year-old Vincenzo Camilleri to Stamford Bridge.
Reggina received no compensation for the player in that move and as a result have asked the Italian Football Federation and Uefa to implement regulations to help safeguard the future of young players in the country.
