Joe Cole is convinced a new "relaxed" atmosphere at Chelsea will see them overhaul Premiership champs Manchester United this season.

Cole said: "The biggest thing I have noticed is how relaxed everyone is and how he's brought a stability to the club that hasn't been there for two and a bit seasons."

Phil Scolari has given the club back it's buzz with signings such as playmaker Deco which has made Cole warn Sir Alex Ferguson's men they will struggle to make it a hat-trick of Premier League titles.

He said: "A new manager is going to have his own ideas. We feel everyone at the club is pulling in the right direction again. All that uncertainty is gone.

You look how closely we pushed Manchester United last year in both competitions with everything that was going on at the club.

"Now that's all been swept under the table, we will be stronger."
