Chelsea are watching Valencia fullback Jose Luis Gaya.

The Mirror says Gaya has turned down a new contract at Valencia - after interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Spain Under-21 left-back Gaya has been in excellent form and his la Liga employers wanted to extend his deal and increase his buy-out clause from £15m.

But the 19-year-old is stalling and the two big clubs are watching developments.
