Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek hopes for a start tonight against EFL Cup opponents Leicester City.

Cup competitions represent the best opportunity for Loftus-Cheek, 20, to get some game time with N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic firmly established in midfield.

And Loftus-Cheek told the club's official website: "When I get opportunities I always want to do well and enjoy my football.

"I don't want to put too much pressure on myself but I've played a few games and now it's time for me to start producing big performances and giving the manager something to think about.

"We want to win every competition we're in and even though the team may change, the drive to succeed remains the same."
