Chelsea midfielder Oscar hopes to meet Corinthians in the Club World Cup.

Oscar, 21, can recall enjoying watching Sao Paulo – who he made 11 appearances for at 17 before joining Internacional – beat Rafa Benitez’s Liverpool 1-0 in the 2005 final.

But now the boot is on the other foot and he will be bidding to help Benitez win the trophy for the second time, following victory with Inter Milan two years ago.

He said: “I do hope that we are able to make it to the final and face Corinthians. I always supported Sao Paulo and still do.”
