Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard may miss out on the chance to captain England against Denmark.
The Daily Mail says Fabio Capello has held back on naming his captain for tomorrow night's friendly in Denmark amid concerns over the form and fitness of Lampard.
Lampard remains favourite to get the nod in the absence of the injured Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard, not least because Capello has said in the past that the Chelsea midfielder is third in line.
But after missing much of this season with injury - including every England game since the friendly with Hungary in August - Lampard might not have even made the starting line-up in Copenhagen had Liverpool captain Gerrard been fit.
