Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard says he has no plans to retire from international football.

Lampard is adamant playing for England will help him maintain his high standards for longer and he has no intention of stepping down.

He said: "All the travelling and having no break is not too bad. I love it and enjoy it. Some players retire from international football and want to spend five days off to go wherever they want to.

"But in mid-season I find it better to keep ticking over. I still feel fit and sharp so long may that continue."
