Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has paid tribute to former boss Claudio Ranieri for making him the player he is.
Ranieri took Lampard to Stamford Bridge for £11million from London rivals West Ham in 2001.
And the player, who has since gone on to score 105 goals in 326 Premier League appearances for the club, said: "I love Claudio with all my soul.
"It makes me happy to see his Roma side doing so well.
"Without Claudio I wouldn't be where I am today.
"He wanted me and convinced me with his ideas. He made me.
"I was a just a young, simple midfielder at West Ham who was chancing his luck when he came along."
