Chelsea are locked in talks with Augsburg for flying fullback Abdul Rahman Baba.

The Ghana international was scouted regularly last season by Chelsea, which have now stepped up negotiations.

Gianlucadimarzio.com says Juventus are also keen on the 20 year-old, but are trailing Chelsea in the race for his signature.

Chelsea officials met with Baba's agent, Sascha Empasher, on Friday to discuss personal terms.

The Blues have made an opening offer of €15 million for the left-back. Augsburg rate the youngster at €20 million.
