Chelsea manager Conte 'very happy' to work with David Luiz

It looks as though David Luiz will be remaining at Chelsea this month.

After suffering a knee injury in October, the 30-year-old centre-back has been kept out of the side by Andreas Christensen, and has made just one appearance.

But speaking before Wednesday night's clash with Arsenal - a club the Brazilian has been linked with - Conte said he is "very happy" to work with Luiz.

He said: "David improved a lot his physical condition in the last couple of days. He worked with us and I think he could be in contention for the Norwich game.

"I'm very happy to work with these players. I don't see a problem. At the same time, I understand if some players are not playing regularly and want to leave."

Conte added: "My expectation is all the players we have in the squad will stay here and continue to work.

"Our squad is not big and for this reason it's impossible to send on loan or sell one player if we don't sign another player."
