Chelsea are becoming increasingly prepared to lose star striker Didier Drogba. The Sunday Mirror says he looks poised to walk away from Chelsea as a free agent in the summer after contract negotiations broke down.
The Ivory Coast striker, who joined Chelsea from Marseille for £24million in 2004, has rejected a one-year extension and is demanding two more years.
Chelsea, with an abundance of striking options, are not prepared to be held to ransom. The stand-off has reached such a level that the Blues have not ruled out selling the powerful front man in January.
