Chelsea management insist Cech, Sturridge must stay

Chelsea insist they do not want to lose Petr Cech nor Danny Sturridge this summer.

Speculation about the pair has intensified in recent weeks with reports suggesting both could be on their way this summer.

But the London Evening Standard says 29-year-old Cech was planning to have talks over a new deal and that remains the case.

His contract expires at the end of next year and Chelsea still hope to offer him a deal that will see him stay until 2017.

Reports have suggested Sturridge has run out of patience, especially as Torres has netted just five times since he joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a British record £50m 13 months ago.

However, he is distancing himself from claims he is frustrated and remains happy to continue playing for the Blues.
