Chelsea and Manchester United are on red alert over the potential availability of Micah Richards at Manchester City.

The Sun says Richards could follow manager Sven Goran Eriksson out of Eastlands at the end of the season.

Richards signed a new contract at City only because Eriksson convinced him about the future of the club. Now he will be considering his options with Chelsea still keen.

United were also linked with Richards before he put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this season.
