Chelsea, Man Utd keep tabs on Bayern Munich's Schweinsteiger

Chelsea and Manchester United are maintaining interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told German press: "We will try to keep him.

"We will hold contract talks in the autumn as agreed."

Schweinsteiger is inside the final year of his current deal and turned down an offer from Newcastle United before the summer market closed.
