Chelsea and Manchester United are firming up their interest in Bayern Munich fullback Willy Sagnol.

France Football says Sagnol could now be on his way to England after attracting the interest of several clubs.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly a big admirer of Sagnol and may be considering a new right-back with Gary Neville experiencing injury problems.

Chelsea are also understood to be keen, while Italian giants AC Milan have been linked as well.
