Raphael Varane is considering his future at Real Madrid.

Chelsea and Manchester United are on alert as Varane ponders a move away from Spain this summer.

Le Sport 10 says the French centre-back is looking to play more football and is currently unhappy about being behind Pepe and Sergio Ramos in the Madrid pecking order.

It is also believed that Pepe is currently negotiating a new contract with Los Blancos, which would further scupper Varane's hopes of playing time at the Bernabeu.

He said: "I have played more in the second half of the season, which has been when the team has had more problems.

"But it's in the tough moments when you learn more about yourself because each day as a Madrid player is a challenge.

"That has happened to me and I need to set myself lofty goals to become a better player."
