Manchester United face stiff Premier League competition for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas. United tabled a £26 million offer for the former Arsenal captain yesterday.

Sky Sports says this bid has sharpened interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Barca coach Tito Vilanova, meanwhile, says he doesn't want to lose the midfielder.

"I know he has received offers but I spoke with him and he told me expressively he wants to stay," he said.
