Chelsea, Man City can smash Barcelona Neymar hopes

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has concerns over missing out on Santos star Neymar. Reports of an agreement already struck with Santos worth €58 million for Neymar are wide of the mark, says El Confidencial.

Instead, Rosell believed he had secured first option with Santos when Neymar becomes available in 2014.

But it's now emerged the agreement is not totally binding - and worthless in the eyes of FIFA - so Neymar could easily be sold before then to a European rival.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain are all actively in talks with Santos and Neymar's camp about a deal and are prepared to blow Barca out of the water with their contract offer to the player.

Anything above €12 million-a-year would leave Rosell with the headache of smashing his existing wage structure at Barca.
