Chelsea have reportedly made a bid for Atalanta ace Franck Kessie.

France Football is reporting that the Premier League leaders have offered £21.3million (€25m) for the Ivory Coast midfielder.

Antonio Conte is keen to add the box-to-box 20-year-old to his title-chasing squad in January and wants to steal a march on any rivals who are also keen.

The report says that Atalanta are yet to respond to the proposal from the West London club.

Italian giants Juventus are also showing significant interest in Kessie while it is understood that Manchester United's Jose Mourinho spoke with the in-demand player on the phone last month in a bid to lure him to Old Trafford.
