Chelsea have made a new offer for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani.
The Mirror says Jose Mourinho has made a whopping £49.3million bid for Cavani.
Returning Chelsea boss Mourinho, it's being claimed in Italy, made the straight-cash offer for the much-coveted Uruguayan after Napoli rejected a part-exchange proposal of Fernando Torres plus £25.5m.
However, Cavani has a £53.6m buyout clause in his contract, and the Italian club's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has previously claimed he will not sell his best player for less than that amount.
Now, De Laurentiis seeking to draw Real Madrid and Manchester City into an auction.
