Chelsea loanee van Ginkel eyeing Dutch title with PSV

Marco van Ginkel is hoping to win the Eredivisie title with PSV Eindhoven this weekend.

The Chelsea attacking midfielder has been on loan at the Philips Stadion since returning from his temporary stint with Stoke City in early February.

PSV sit second on the Dutch top flight, equal on points with Ajax, but behind on goal difference as they prepare to take on seventh-placed PEC Zwolle away on Saturday as the Amsterdam giants meet second bottom De Graafschap.

Of his thus far successful spell with PSV, van Ginkel told Chelsea's official website: "I'm close to my family and close to my friends which is always nice. The club is cool with lots of nice people around so I am enjoying it.

"At the moment we are level on points with Ajax with one game left. It's very exciting.

"Hopefully they drop some points because their goal difference is a bit better."

Van Ginkel has scored eight goals in 12 league appearances for PSV and admits that playing a little closer to goal has helped him contribute so greatly to the club's premiership push.

"At the moment I am playing a little bit further forward than I have played with my previous clubs and I can get in front of the goal more," he added.

"That's what I like, to score goals and be important for the team."

Van Ginkel, 23, is contracted with Chelsea until the summer of 2018.
