Chelsea loanee Cork wanted full time by Burnley

Chelsea midfielder Jack Cork is currently on a season long loan with Burnley and has sufficiently impressed for boss Brian Laws to want to make the deal permanent. However, the England Under-21 international could leave in the January transfer window if another club buys him, and the Clarets would like to be that club.

"The simple case is there has to be a permanent move if Jack leaves this football club," said Laws.

"We've got him until the end of the season and the only thing that would stop it would be a permanent move to somewhere else.

"But Jack is very, very happy here and it would have to be some club to prise him away. We are very keen to keep him. We are making positive moves to try and keep him here permanently."
