Chelsea and Liverpool are circling for River Plate striker Lucas Ocampos.
The Daily Mail says Chelsea had made strong enquiries about the 6ft 2ins tall 17-year-old who has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo.
River initially insisted they would not sell until they had won promotion back to the Argentine top division and claimed they had already rejected offers of £15m for Ocampos from Inter Milan.
However, they are now contemplating a deal in January. Liverpool have been making big strides in the South American market with Chile forward Eduardo Vargas another transfer target.
His agent has confirmed Liverpool and Arsenal have made enquiries about him.
