Chelsea are being linked with a move for Bayern Munich full-back Philip Lahm, who is apparently looking to leave the Bundesliga giants.

The 24-year-old Germany international has reportedly failed to arrive at an agreement over a new deal with The Bavarians and with his existing contract expiring in 2009, his situation is being monitored by a host of top clubs in the continent.

"It is my intention to leave Bayern at some stage of my career and that is not going to be when I am past my best," Lahm told Stern magazine. "A transfer abroad is the logical next step."
