Chelsea legend Ginfranco Zola says manager Andre Villas-Boas can still find room for Frank Lampard in his plans.
Zola, voted Chelsea's greatest-ever player by the supporters, understands AVB wanting to move forward, but insists Lamps can still play a key role.
The Italian, 45, told the Daily Star Sunday: "You can see Chelsea have tried to change their style of play this season.
"That creates a big problem. But I don't think AVB doesn't believe that Lampard isn't a good player - he is their top scorer this season, after all.
"But I'd just imagine he feels that Frank will be more effective if he plays fewer games - so that he is always at his very best.""For players who have won so much playing the old way, it isn't easy to change the ways they have become used to.
