Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is a candidate for the Nottingham Forest job.

The Daily Mail says Zola has emerged as a contender for the position after talks between Forest and Neil Warnock fell through.

Warnock said: "It was the right club and I was excited about it. I met the chairman. But I don't think it was right for me at this moment in time."

Academy manager Gary Brazil will take charge of Forest tonight against Charlton Athletic.
