Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is backing Fabio Capello for the England job.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid boss Capello is currently joint favourite with ex-Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho to become next Three Lions manager.

And Zola said: "Capello's pedigree is unbelievable and fantastic. And not many coaches in the world have the experience and the qualities that he's got.

"He has won not only in Italy but in Spain - so he's got great qualities.

"And, as far as I understand it, he wants to coach a national team."
