Chelsea legend Lampard remains coy on Emenalo role: We'll see...

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has refused to rule out taking over from Michael Emenalo as the club's technical director.

The Nigerian former footballer left the club on Monday after ten years of service.

Lampard, who made 648 apperances for the Blues, has been rumoured as potential candidate to replace Emenalo, and the former England international has remained coy when asked by reporters about the role.

"I worked with Michael for seven or eight years and his role at the club coincided with the most successful period in Chelsea's history so I think he deserves a lot of credit from that," he said via Sky Sports.

"… In terms of myself, I don't know. I'm a Chelsea person, I'd love to be involved with the club long-term in some way. We'll see."
