Manchester City will take out this season's Premier League title.

That is according to former City midfielder Frank Lampard who has identified Pep Guardiola's side as the one most capable of winning the premiership in season 2016/17.

The Chelsea legend, currently with City's MLS sister club New York City FC, told the BC's Premier League Show that a third Premier League crown is on the cards for the Sky Blues who possess promising central defender John Stones while being able to call on the services of star striker Sergio Aguero.

"I think Manchester City. I think they've bought well - I love Stones," said Lampard.

"I think they've got the best goalscorer in the league in Aguero, he's a genius of a goalscorer.

"I loved being there for a year, being around him in training, he's a goal machine. He'd stand around a little bit in training and he'd score goals for fun."
