Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is in line for the manager's job at Oxford United.
Lampard called it quits on his playing career in February after a spell in the US with New York City.
But he looks set to move straight into management after becoming Oxford's top choice to replace Michael Appleton, who is now assistant gaffer at Leicester, says The Sun.
Lamps is good friends with Oxford's director Dave Jones, who is leading a three-man panel to find their next manager.
A decision could be made soon ahead of the new League One season, with Lampard previously revealing his desire to become a boss.
