Chelsea legend Drogba warns Conte: No coach lasts longer than 3-4 years

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba says the doubts around manager Antonio Conte are normal for the club.

Drogba insists longevity for any coach can no longer be considered in today's game.

He told RMC: "What is happening now is normal. Two years ago, they were on the verge of relegation. Last year, with one game a week, everything went well. The coach came with drastic methods and the club became champion again.

"But most players have not been further than a quarter or semi-final in the Champions League for a while. It is necessary to readjust to the matches every three days, to the demand of results which is permanent, to the intensity. You have to be on top every day, it's not easy.

"Everyone says that Chelsea is not very stable. But in current football, there is not a coach who lasts more than three or four years in a club."
