Romelu Lukaku has revealed that Didier Drogba and Ian Wright have played a big role in his dramatic improvement over the past year.
Lukaku has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe this season, scoring 18 goals in 28 Premier League appearances and the Belgian international has certainly impressed many with his ruthless streak in front of goal.
Now Lukaku has gone on to reveal that the drastic improvement in his game over the past 12 months has been partly down to the advice he has received from Chelsea and Arsenal legends Drogba and Wright.
The 23-year-old told DH in Belgium: "I think I answered the question well enough: 'What can Romelu do, and what can't he do?'
"I spoke about it with Didier (Drogba) and Ian Wright; they gave me a few tips.
"I changed my game enormously since last year. I am sometimes too introverted. I'm too afraid to ask for the ball and try.
"If it does not work, I have to try again, continue until it works. This is what has increased my number of goals and assists."
