West Ham United goalkeeper Robert Green may never get the chance to live down his England World Cup howler.
Former Chelsea and England keeper Peter Bonetti reckons people will never forget Green's gaffe against the United States.
Bonetti, 68, told The Sun: "I feel so sorry for Robert. I never played for England again and I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to him now.
"I've had to develop a thick skin because people still want to talk about what happened 40 years later. I've never been allowed to forget it.
"Robert will have to prepare himself for that. He's going to have to live with it. People are going to be coming up to him in 2050 and talking about it."
