Andriy Shevchenko has been left in England as Chelsea prepare to face Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The club say the striker has not travelled to Athens because he is not yet fully fit after the back problems which have plagued him this season.

. But Didier Drogba, who missed training at the end of last week and Chelsea's 3-1 FA Cup win over Huddersfield on Saturday with a knee problem, did join Michael Ballack, Avram Grant's other injury worry, on the flight.

The team arrived in Athens late on Sunday night after being forced to circle the airport for two hours because of snow.

The weather is forecast to improve before the game.
