Chelsea launching bid for Wolfsburg striker Dzeko
Chelsea are launching a bid for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
The Daily Express says Chelsea are poised to launch a £20million bid to bring Dzeko to Stamford Bridge.
Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti – so far frustrated in his attempts to sign superstars of the calibre of Kaka, David Villa and Franck Ribery this summer – has asked owner Roman Abramovich to instead go for one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe.
Dzeko, 23, scored 26 goals last season as unfancied Wolfsburg stormed to the Bundesliga title.
Ancelotti’s old club AC Milan have been tracking Dzeko all summer but have been repeatedly rebuffed by Wolfsburg, while Arsenal have also been on his trail.
But Abramovich is confident that Chelsea’s financial power can finally persuade Dzeko to leave Germany.

Here we go again. A new manager so we go back two steps again. spend spend spend on crap. why not save the money and for once give it back to the fans ? in cheaper tickets after all we made chelsea what it is today. we go every where the club goes and its not cheap dont forget most of us are working class? he is a really good player watch alot of his games last seaon he is a super star in the making . i will rather spend money on dzeko than on aguero . is a a proven goal scorer and very intelligent . not selfish also he created alot of goal for his strike partner last season. chelseafc go for him he will be a very good buy. by next season he will cost more becos he will play in the champions league and many people will be able to see his quality
