Chelsea are set to launch an investigation into claims Didier Drogba was subjected to racist abuse in Turin.

Drog, who hit Blues' second equaliser in Tuesday's 2-2 draw against Juventus, was allegedly the victim of 'monkey chants' from a small section of the home crowd.

Now UEFA are ready to throw the book at Juve if the case is proven.

A Chelsea spokesman said last night: "Our record against fighting racism is clear.

"At this stage, we do not have sufficient evidence to back up these claims.

"It would be up to UEFA to investigate them and we would do everything in our power to assist them."
