Chelsea will push to land Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote.

The Mirror says Roman Abramovich is ready to spend big this summer to build a new empire at Chelsea.

Tiote is on their wish list, along with Tottenham's Luka Modric, who they failed to sign last summer.

But Abramovich will also give some of the old guard another chance with Frank Lampard set to stay when his future looked in doubt.
