Chelsea are being linked with Sao Paulo star Lucas.
Reports in Brazil today claim the Blues are going to make a £29m bid for teenage Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas, says the London Evening Standard.
The 19-year-old is rated as one of the best young players in the world and plays in a similar position to previous Chelsea targets Luka Modric and Javier Pastore.
Chelsea and a number of top European clubs have been tracking the international for some time, although he has a buy-out clause of £66.5m and recently said he wants to stay at Sao Paulo until his country hosts the 2014 World Cup.
His contract runs out in 2015, but Chelsea want to make a high-profile signing to provide more quality to their attacking play.
