Croatian sources say Chelsea are willing to pay £15 million for the midfield schemer and Dinamo supremo Zdravko Mamic is now weighing up whether to cash in on his star man ahead of the January market.

Everton, West Ham and Manchester City have also been in contact with Dinamo about Modric, but it is Chelsea which are showing the most concrete interest.

Henk ten Cate, who wanted Modric when he was in charge of Ajax, is pushing for the deal along with Blues football chief Frank Arnesen.
