Chelsea knock out Man Utd with huge Alex Sandro bid

Chelsea are prepared to force through a £50m January deal for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.

With both domestic and European fixtures starting to mount, Blues boss Antonio Conte is desperate to add to his squad.

The Brazilian was one of Chelsea's priority targets in the summer, but Juventus were determined too hang on to Sandro.

However, the Daily Mirror says Bianconeri officials are now willing to move the 26-year-old on and have even lined up a replacement in Bayer Leverkusen's Wendell.

The move could represent a win over Chelsea's rivals, Manchester United, who are also on the hunt for a new left-back.

And if Chelsea do complete the Sandro deal, it is likely United will turn their focus towards Tottenham Hotspur's Danny Rose.
