Chelsea's kids set the tone for today's big match against Arsenal by defeating their U18 counterparts 1-0 on Friday.
Blues coach Paul Clement told the club's website: "After only playing two days ago, we changed the look of the team today. What we didn't want to happen was an after-the-Lord Mayor's-show game following a big night the other night.
"When you play Arsenal you always know it is going to be a good game. They beat us 3-1 earlier in the year.
"This time, we played the better football in the first half and created a bit more. In the second half, they were on top possession-wise but it was good to see that we defended well. We had a good chance late on and could have won it 2-0.
"The lads will have a well-deserved couple of days off now and then we will prepare for the FA Youth Cup final."
