Chelsea management have paid tribute to the courage of goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Chelsea's Czech keeper collided with Ashley Cole at Blackburn last week and had to wear a mask for Friday's 2-0 win against Montenegro.
Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon said: "Petr was very brave. It was difficult in the last 15 minutes.
"We had to close his nose up to stop the bleeding and because of that he was swallowing a lot of blood.
"He said towards the end of the game, he was trying to shout but was finding it hard to get the words out because the blood kept coming up."
